Jun’s love of art began before kindergarten, even as his schooling nudged him toward a medical path—following in the footsteps of his father, an MD, who, coincidentally, is quite an artist himself.
Today, Jun thrives in mixed-media, creating works for pop-up galleries, commissions, and charitable auctions supporting causes like cancer and AIDS research. His pieces have repeatedly drawn high bids, yet he humbly credits the community and collaborators around him for much of his success.
Most of his creative hours come after midnight, leaving him little sleep. “Pulling all-nighters didn’t end in art school,” he laughs. Still, the dedication is clear—art fuels him in both challenge and triumph.
His mantra reflects this duality:
“ART IS MY STRENGTH AND MY WEAKNESS.” — Jun Pino
